Use label printing scale with CorePOS. 

Define items in CorePOS inventory as variable price and setup the same item in your scale. The scale prints a label; the barcode contains item # and price.  CorePOS will understand that barcode, find the item number and add the cost.

Variable Price Barcode Parser has Advanced Parsing rules for complete customization. You can have 5 digit product code or 7 digit product code or any other way to customize parsing rules.
